Introduction

Hi. My name is David, and I'm an old paramedic. I've been working full time in EMS since 1979. I currently do contract paramedic work and instruct EMS courses and emergency dispatch courses. My EMS work includes field, hospital, QI, and communications. My passion for the past several years has been the documentation and photographing of historic cemeteries and gravesites. I love the history connected with cemeteries. I've placed thousands of entries and photos on findagrave.com and the United States Cemetery Project. For some time now, I've been instructing emergency medical dispatch courses all over the country, and internationally, traveling a great deal. My travels have allowed me to photograph cemeteries in many states throughout the country, and other countries such as Canada, Ireland and Malaysia. I've developed a Power Point presentation on the history and symbolism of cemeteries and graves which I present for many groups and organizations such as Community Education, historical societies and genealogy conferences. I've also presented at TAPSCON, a convention sponsored by The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TV's Ghost Hunters). My cemetery photography has appeared in magazines and in exhibits at museums.

I grew up in the Chicago area, and love going back there when I can. I studied law enforcement back there, and then moved to Oregon and got involved in EMS. I now live in Boise, Idaho and have a son, a daughter and two grandsons. My daughter and her family live in Boise. My son and his family live in Salt Lake City, UT.
